Are you a fervent retail investor? Would you wish that you were the one that's calling the shots real-time at SGX instead?

Now's your chance to be the market maker! - take this chance to experience the atmosphere and excitement of being a trader. At the same time, compete with students from the three top universities to become the 'Best Student Trader’ in Singapore.
Using a worldwide acclaimed securities trading simulation, participants will have the opportunity to be active in a dealing room environment. A full day of trading is simulated in a two hour session, where students trade against each other and fictive market players in a virtual dealing room. Participants must show market awareness by following the market movements and the news and set a strategy for their trading. At the same time, they will have to answer calls from clients and give quotes.
The top students from each university will compete in the final at SGX on Friday October 16, for cash prizes of up to $2,000 and internships, courtesy of Barclays Capital.

Come and join the POEMS Stock Challenge, a trading simulation competition organized by Phillip Securities. The competition will be conducted through simulation of the POEMS trading account, and POEMS stock trading interface, with participants having access to stock research, stock search, charting and technical analysis tools. For realism, it will further be based on the Singapore Exchange (SGX), with the same opening and closing hours and stock prices.
